My family is small and very special. I am a housewife and for 19 years I have been working in tourism at home. I like to watch soap operas and in my free time I watch TV programs. I love the tranquility.

Description

Accommodation
The house is colonial, although it has been refurbished and modern elements have been added. The decor follows a mixed style, typical for colonial houses, functional and colorful. It has spacious and ventilated spaces with high ceilings. The courtyards are decorated with plants and are furnished to ensure pleasant stays, close to nature and natural light.
On the terrace, visitors can enjoy dinner and breakfast, read a book or have a coffee.
We offer to travelers one room accessed from an interior corridor with a view to the terrace that belongs to the main house. In the room, there is a minibar stocked with refreshments, a private bathroom with electric shower and air conditioning, although if you wish you can use the fan or just enjoy the natural ventilation.

Neighbourhood & Nearby places
The neighbourhood is typical for a Cuban city, located in the very center of Santa Clara. It is very quiet and bustling at the same time. It is located very close to Leoncio Vidal Park, downtown, so access to the different places is only a matter of short walks of about 5 or 10 minutes, easily connected with the main places of interest. You can also choose to request a taxi or take a bicitaxi to visit more distant places. Another transportation option is to use horse-drawn (“carretones”) carts that can drive you to the most important places of this city or you can take buses, called "guaguas" and experience an especially unforgettable adventure.
You can travel only few kilometers to reach unique and unforgettable sites, including:
• Leoncio Vidal Park, just six blocks away, the historic center of the city and where the main shopping centers and handicrafts are located.
• Martí Provincial Library, six blocks away, emblematic place, former palace of government and of great architectural value. In one of the rooms of this library, the remains of Che Guevara and members of his guerrilla were stored, when on the day of his funeral they were transported from Havana to what was their final destination. There the town of Santa Clara paid tribute to the legendary guerrilla.
• Museum of Decorative Arts, six blocks away.
• La Caridad Theater, just six blocks away, cultural center of the province and Cuba. A place of great architectural and historical value, built by the city's benefactor, Ms. Marta Abreu. Emblematic site of the city of Santa Clara.
• La Catedral, just eight blocks away. This place has not only religious, but also architectural and historical values. There a mythical statue is exhibited, which was found by the settlers of the place and there’s even a legend about this find.
• Ernesto Che Guevara Memorial, 1 km from the house, a must visit when arriving on the island.
• Monument to the Assault on the Armored Train, 1 km away. This was the place where one of the decisive battles was fought that gave the victory of the Battle of Santa Clara and that defined the victory of the Rebel Army.
• City of Trinidad, located 170 km from the city, this is a place of historical and cultural interest, as well as of great architectural value thanks to great conservation of the city.
• Varadero beach, located 250 km away, the main resort on the island.
• Beaches of the northern Keys of the province Villa Clara, 100 km from the city. This place groups several of the most beautiful and best preserved beaches in the country.

Coming home & Getting around
It’s very easy to get to the house as it’s in downtown and the street we live on is known by everyone. We have the great advantage of being right in the very center of the city. Even if you came by national buses, we could ask the taxi drivers to take you right to our place, considering that generally the visitors bring heavy or uncomfortable to carry suitcases. But if you were traveling with backpacks or lighter luggage, you can get to our house on foot.

Interaction with guests
At home, we offer a varied and personalized service to our visitors. Among the additional services, we offer dinners and breakfasts to suit guests' needs, tour guide, laundry, massages, and taxi coordination, among others. We are very communicative and helpful what makes the visitors have an unforgettable stay at home.
