Zaida Barreto García
I graduated in Spanish and Literature. Now I am retired. In my spare time, I like practicing meditation and reading. I collect candles and I'm interested in everything related to energy, Feng Shui and quartz. I like to talk on various subjects with my guests, and help them as much as possible.
I fill with love what I do.

Description

Accommodation
The house was built in 1920 and it is considered an architectural beauty of that time. It has been rebuilt respecting the capitals, floors and woodwork of that date. It has an inner courtyard with a stone wall, which rolls off water from a fountain to a pond. Besides, it is decorated with coloured dim lights and ornamental plants which cool the whole place as well as there are two comfortable armchairs where you can just sit down and relax. All together creates a delightful and enjoyable ambience for our guests.

The room has an individual bathroom with hot and cold water 24 hours a day, TV set, fridge, air conditioning, fan, with single and double beds. If you want to enjoy the night breeze while sleeping or resting in the bed, you can open the door of your room that leads to the courtyard and you will be able to enjoy the relaxing sound of a falling water that will help you to release the stress of everyday life and will give you the sense of intimacy.

This area is not suitable for disabled.

Neighbourhood & Nearby places
Just by crossing the street you will arrive at the place where the city of Santa Clara has been founded and where currently there is an allegorical monument crafted to remember this event. Also on the other corner of the Parque del Carmen there is a well-known secondary school called “El Vaquerito”, which used to be a police station before the triumph of the Cuban Revolution and where a decisive battle took place. Also in the middle of the park stands a church, Iglesia de Nuestra Señora del Carmen, thus you can attend various religious activities which are conducted there.

Getting around
The house is located in the historical center of Santa Clara, only 400 meters away from Vidal Park and 300 meters from Boulevard which provides public transport. There you will be able to enjoy the city life and appreciate the proximity of artistic and cultural centers, such as “La UNEAC House” and check different culinary offerings along the way.

The centric location of our house will allow you not only to enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the neighbourhood, but also to know closer the centre of Santa Clara with its cultural venues, such as the Theatre La Caridad, Martí Library, El patio de Santa Rosalía, Museum of Decorative Arts and Cultural Center “The Mejunje”, among others.

Interaction with Guests
I have a good command of English. I can offer you also a taxi service in the city as well as from and to the airport. Besides, the taxi driver can take you for a trip around the city acting as a guide. That´s also a good way to do sightseeing.
